Thank you for this web site. What a tribute it is to Bill Brock and
The Paddock Club. I first started going there in 1976, and there I met my best
friend and the love of my life. Today I live far away from Eastern NC, but I
still remember the smiling faces, the pulsating music, the joyous laughter, and
the good times that this very special place provided for so many of us. The
Paddock wasn't just a club, it was a way of life. Long live the memory of Bill
Brock and the Paddock Club! -Tara Michelle McVey
Always loved my visit to THE PADDOCK...best memory was being booked there and I got on stage doing a gospel tune with a choir robe...that mixed into Rocky Top...I dropped the robe...square dancing dress on and clogged my butt off...but the memory was that Bill Brock got on stage with me and clogged his butt off too...the crowd went wild....audience was TOTALLY SHOCKED....I didnt know any better and had the time of my life that night....Bill was so nice to me that night and every time I was booked afterwards.....THANKS for bringing back memories of THE PADDOCK....huggs to you all -Johnnie Gore - aka DAISY INEZ
