The original Miss Dickinson Avenue came to be almost by accident.  A group of people were down at the club and decided it would be fun to get in drag using only what they could find at the club.  That night of silly fun turned into a yearly tradition.  Each year eager contestants would come to compete in the most legendary comedy pageant in NC.
